COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY Part 2

Orange Theory Fitness recently opened a site in Winter Park, in the Trader Joe's shopping plaza (talk about convenient).  This particular location was built as a slightly new design and they needed photographs to be used for franchise presentations.  I was thrilled for the opportunity to take on this job.

The idea behind Orange Theory Fitness is kind of cool.  If you are looking for a new gym or something different to add to your workouts, you should definitely try it out!

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY Part 1

I have done a few commercial photography shoots lately and I have to say I really enjoyed them. Commercial photography is very different than family photography.  I didn't have to get anyone to sit still.  Ha!

The first company I worked with was Rhodes Building Company.  They are a full service construction company for the commercial and industrial market.  I shot two projects for them,  Launch Credit Union in Melbourne, FL and Orange Theory Fitness in Lake Mary, FL.  Joe and Matt were fantastic to work with and I loved how the images turned out.

Back to School (I know. I'm waaaay behind!)

So, I'm late with this blog post.  Once the 2014 school year started things got crazy and my blogging was pushed to the back burner.

I'm posting a few images from my Back to School Sessions in August.  These are one of my favorite mini sessions to do.  There is something so precious about a child getting ready to start an exciting new year of school.  I love the retro desk, the pencils, pigtails, globe, butcher paper covered books, and glasses.  I really can't get enough and I'm already brainstorming next year's Back to School Sessions.

My First Wedding

This past summer a lovely couple asked if I would photograph their wedding.  I had never photographed a wedding before, but was excited to take this project on for them.  I partnered with my long-time friend, and fellow photographer, Xibel of Bella Ana Photography.  Xibel and I work well together and I knew we would also have fun.

Lots of planning went into the preparations on our part.  Emailing, texting, and phoning back and forth to make sure we had everything we could possibly need to capture the beautiful moments of this couple's wedding.

The big day finally arrived.  Xibel and I met at the venue with all of our equipment and supplies, then got to work.  The ceremony was small, but sweet.  The sun was shining and this couple's favorite people were present to witness them exchange their vows.  I am truly honored that they asked me to document this beautiful day for them.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. D!  I wish you a happily ever after.

Princess Tea Time Sessions

The Princess Tea Time sessions were so much fun this year.  I collaborated with a friend and fellow photographer Andrea Richburg, of Andrea Richburg Photography.  The two of us created the perfect setting for the little girls to meet and have tea with the princesses.  We couldn’t have done it without the two best entertainers from Starlite Princess & Pirate Parties.  Claudia and Chelsea were AMAZING!!  They stayed in character the entire time.  They truly engaged in conversation with each little girl.  They asked questions, pretended to have tea, laughed about Olaf, and made each little girl feel like she was a princess herself.  Andrea and I couldn’t have asked for better ladies to work with.

The morning was perfect.  Cool temperatures and sunny skies.  As each little girl made her way to the table to meet the princesses, you could see the sheer awe on their faces.  I’m not kidding.  EVERY SINGLE GIRL was left in awe!  It was totally magical.  It made all the hard work bringing these sessions into fruition totally worth it!

I hope this experience will be one that each little girl will remember forever.

Thanksgiving Coloring Pages

My kids both love to make art.  One of their favorite things to do is color and they are constantly asking me to print out coloring pages for them.  The internet is full of all sorts of coloring pages.  Princesses, cartoon characters, monster trucks, Lego characters.  You name it, you can find it.  However, my kids are extra lucky because their grandmother, my Mom, is an artist and will sketch anything they ask her to.  These coloring pages are super special because they are GG’s creations.

I asked my Mom to sketch a few Thanksgiving coloring pages for my kids.  She happily whipped up four drawings for them.  I thought they were so cute that I asked her if I could share them with all of you.  Feel free to download each page so your children can enjoy GG’s art, too.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

I can't even begin to express how amazing this photo shoot was!!  It was fun to plan, fun to set up, fun to photograph, and AMAZING to watch the little girl's reactions as they interacted with these two beautiful princesses.  Even I had goosebumps and would have enjoyed having tea with them.

The Princess Tea Time Session is more than just a photo shoot.  It's an experience!  Our princesses are spot on and had such a wonderful presence.  They really interacted with the little girls.  They asked questions, discussed dresses, laughed, hugged, and made the little girls feel so very special.
True magic happened!

The excitement of the girls on the girls' faces when they met the Princesses says it all!!

The table was set for tea time!
Olaf was waiting for the ladies to arrive.

A beautiful Princess!

You can see that the littlest Princess was enamored!

Serving tea!

Warm hugs were shared by all!

If you are ever in need of some fantastic entertainers, you have to call Starlite Princess Parties.  They were absolutely wonderful!!
