Crafty Christmas Card Display

Christmas is my FAVORITE time of year!  I love many things about the Christmas season, but the decorations are the bees knees!  Each year, however, I have a difficult time finding a proper place to display my Christmas cards.  I've tried various things over the years, but haven't been happy with the results.  That is, until this year!

Unfortunately I don't remember where I found this idea, but I will still share my discovery with you. The idea I found showed a ribbon taped to the inside of the top of a kitchen cabinet door, draped over the front, then wrapped and taped to the inside of the bottom of the door.  When your cabinet door is closed you only see the ribbon on the front of your cabinet.  I just used one ribbon vertically on each door, but you could get creative and put it on horizontally, make them look like a present with one vertically and one horizontally, or use multiple ribbons vertically or horizontally. You could also get creative with the colors and styles of ribbons you use.  The ideas are endless!

I bought a bag of mini clothespins at the craft store to attach my cards to the ribbon.  The ribbon I had on hand and the mini clothespins were $2.50.  VERY inexpensive.  I'm very happy with the results.  It brings some Christmas cheer into my kitchen and allows me to display ALL of the Christmas cards we receive.  I love it!!

You can see here how the ribbon looks before you put the cards on it.

Here is our lovely display!
